Pausing, resuming and undeploying a strategy

What the Deployed Strategies page shows, and what happens when you pause, resume or undeploy a running strategy.

The Deployed Strategies page

Deployed Strategies lists every strategy you have running. Each one carries badges such as Paper, Live, Adding funds, Paused or Deactivated. Deployments whose money is committed but which have not started trading yet appear as queued, and strategies you have undeployed appear as inactive.

Open a deployment to see its Positions & Trades, Details and Working Orders tabs.

The Manage menu

Open the strategy and press Manage. From there you can pause or resume it, undeploy it, change its settings, update its capital, set up a recurring deposit, or view its algorithm.

Pausing and resuming

Press Pause Subscription to stop the strategy trading straight away. Open positions stay open and your money stays allocated to the strategy, so market moves still affect them while it is paused. Press Resume Subscription to start trading again at any time.

Undeploying

Undeploying stops the strategy and closes its open positions automatically, which can realise gains or losses.

If the market is closed, the button reads Schedule Undeploy: trading stops now and the positions are sold at the next market open. You can cancel a scheduled undeploy before it runs.

  1. Open the strategy and press Manage, then Undeploy.
  2. Type undeploy to confirm and rate the strategy. Feedback is required for ratings under 5 stars.
  3. Press Undeploy, or Schedule Undeploy when the market is closed.
